The Kandao Meeting Ultra boosts meeting equity by allowing participants in the room to look directly at a 360° camera with attached touchscreens showing galleries of remote participants.

Kandao Technology has launched the Meeting Ultra, an all-in-one videoconferencing device with an AI-enhanced 360° camera and dual touchscreen displays, has just been launched.

The device’s two 15.6″ displays double up as videoconferencing displays and control panels for users in small meeting rooms.

The product is designed as a comprehensive solution that offers space and budget savings, as it is intended to be the only device needed for a meeting. However, it can also be used as a companion device in larger rooms too.

Unlike a video bar mounted with an end-of-room display, the Kandao Meeting Ultra does not force the user to turn their head to one side of the room. Having the users look directly at the 15.6″ touchscreen displays that come with the device makes for a more natural experience for remote meeting attendees. And unlike a standalone 360° camera, the Kandao Meeting Ultra can act as a complete system, with no need to integrate it with a screen or a screen and video bar combination at the front of the room.

For users looking for standalone 360° meeting-room cameras, Kandao offers the Meeting Pro and Meeting S products, up to four of which can be integrated through Kandao Meeting Omni software in larger conference rooms.

The Kando Meeting Ultra has two 4K lenses to cover all angles, with HDR to get rid of over-exposed images when conferencing near windows. It has two FHD touchscreens, a built-in Android OS, and a full-duplex audio system, composed of an eight omnidirectional microphone array and a 10-Watt Hi-Fi speaker.

The device also has its own AI algorithm with a powerful CPU, GPU, and NPU to achieve low latency and accurate localization and auto-framing when tracking the speaker in a meeting.

The Kandao Meeting Ultra is currently available through AV and IT distributors and e-commerce platforms such as Amazon. Kandao is also actively seeking new partners.
