3.Firmware Upgrade Method

Using the App to Upgrade Camera Firmware

After connecting to the camera's hotspot, open the Obsidian Pro App to check the current firmware version of the camera. If the internet connection is normal, you can check for the latest firmware and click on "Firmware Update" to complete the firmware update.

Using micro SD Card to Upgrade Camera Firmware

Prepare an exFAT-formatted U3-level SD card, and follow these steps to update the firmware:

  1. Create a folder named "update."
  2. Place the firmware upgrade file "update.narwal" into the "update" folder (only upgrade files are allowed in this folder).
  3. Copy the folder to the SD card (the file format of the SD card should be EXFAT).
  4. Insert the SD card into the Obsidian Pro (located in the small slot below the screen).
  5. Slide down from the top of the camera screen to enter the "Setting" page.
  6. Scroll down to "About."
  7. Click on "Version Update."
  8. Click on "Update."
  9. Kandao Obsidian Pro will automatically restart after the update.
  10. Go to "Settings" - "About" - "Device Version" to check the version information. If the version numbers for each lens are the same and match the intended update version (e.g., "V337"), the firmware update is successful.
