1. Power Supply
Requirement In order to prevent the external power from dropping during the upgrade process, the power supply of the camera needs to meet the following two conditions to start the upgrade:
1.1 Place two Canon LP-E6 batteries or other compatible batteries with at least 50% battery level in the camera.
1.2 The camera need to connect to POE or 12V external power supply.
When the phone is connected to an external network, the APP starts to check whether the firmware contained in the APP is the latest version. If not, APP will remind you to download the latest version. At this point, the user simply clicks on "Download" to start downloading the latest firmware.
1.1 If the download is successful, APP will alert “Download Completed”, and then click “OK ”to continue.
1.2 If the download fails, APP will alert “Download Failed” where you can click “Retry” to retry or click “Cancel” to cancel the download, then download the latest firmware next time.
3.1 When the APP is connected to the camera the APP checks whether the camera's firmware is the latest version. If not, the red screen will appear in the "FW Version" column at the global settings screen and remind you to update your camera firmware.
3.2 Click on the "FW Version" column and the firmware upgrade reminder box appears, click "Update Now" to start upgrading your camera firmware.
3.3 APP starts uploading firmware installation packages to the camera and pops up the progress bar to display the process. Please do not do any action on the APP or camera at this time.
3.4 The camera starts to upgrade the system after the firmware installation package is uploaded . At this point, the camera lights flash and disconnect from the APP. The APP appears as below:
3.5 The camera will automatically restart with the indicator light on when the camera upgrade is completed,APP will prompts for successful upgrade at the same time. At this point, reconnect the camera with APP and verify that your camera firmware has been upgraded to the latest version.
3.6 If the firmware installation package failed to upload APP will reminder the fail. Please click “Retry” to retry the upload.
3.7 If the firmware failed to upgrade APP will reminder the fail. Please click “Retry” to retry the upgrade.
